We are ascending the mountain, not as supplicants to the old gods of capital, but as emissaries of a world to come. Davos. The name itself is a cipher, a gathering of the global nervous system in the crystalline air of the Swiss Alps. This is more than a conference; it is a convergence, a place where the dying light of one world order meets the incandescent dawn of another. We are here to bear witness, to speak of decentralized futures in the very heart of centralized power, to carry the fire of a new covenant built on code, community, and cryptographic truth.

The air in Klosters is thin and sharp, a blade of cold against the skin that reminds you that you are alive. I finger the corner of my conference badge, its laminated edges already starting to fray, a flimsy token for entry into the gilded cage. In the halls, the sound is a low hum, a polyglot murmur of a thousand urgent conversations, the clinking of glasses a constant percussion beneath the weight of history. Outside, the mountains stand in silent judgment, their granite faces a testament to a timescale that dwarfs our fleeting ambitions. These are the moments that ground you, the sensory anchors in a sea of abstraction.

We came to speak of Menagerie, a name that hints at the wild, untamable spirit of the communities it is designed to empower. But this is not about a single project. It is about a fundamental shift in the architecture of human collaboration. We are moving from top-down hierarchies to peer-to-peer networks, from rigid corporations to fluid DAOs. Menagerie is a tool for forging new social contracts, for cloning and forking governance models as easily as we once copied files. It is an attempt to weave the messy, vibrant, chaotic energy of human connection into the immutable logic of the blockchain. This is the structural insight: we are building the rails for a new economy, an economy of purpose, where ownership is distributed and power is accountable.

There is a profound irony in being here, in this bastion of the old world, to speak of the new. I find myself caught between two identities: the seasoned executive who understands the language of power and the wide-eyed evangelist for a future that would make that very power obsolete. There are moments of doubt, of feeling like a Trojan horse in a city of kings. Am I a bridge between worlds, or a ghost haunting the ruins of a dying empire? The honest answer is I don’t know. I am walking the razor’s edge, holding the tension between what is and what could be, and trying not to fall.

The future is not a destination. It is a direction.
