Consciousness Scale
Map Your Level of Awareness — The Hawkins Scale adapted as a self-assessment
What This Measures
David Hawkins mapped human consciousness across 17 levels — from Shame at 20 to Enlightenment at 700. The scale is logarithmic: the difference between 200 (Courage) and 500 (Love) is not 300 points, it is a fundamentally different relationship with reality.
This 25-question assessment helps you calibrate where you are right now. Not where you want to be. Not where you were last year. Where you are today, in this moment, with this history.
The Scale
- 20 — Shame: Humiliation. The lowest viable level.
- 100 — Fear: Anxiety. The driver of most defensive behavior.
- 200 — Courage: Affirmation. The critical threshold — above this, life is constructive.
- 350 — Acceptance: Forgiveness. The beginning of real agency.
- 500 — Love: Reverence. Unconditional, not emotional.
- 600 — Peace: Bliss. Rare. Sustained.
- 700 — Enlightenment: Ineffable.
